“Being Fit is Our Sport.”
CrossFit 580 brings together unique groups of people in pursuit of a common interest – lifelong fitness and well-being. Regardless of  your size, age, or athletic ability, anyone who walks through the doors at CrossFit 580 will be reminded that a commitment to fitness is important for their lives and the lives of the people they love.  Anyone can do this!

To us, CrossFit means more than just a great workout. Here at CrossFit 580, we are about creating a community of people with common goals.

 School vs. Open Gym

We are not just a gym where you pay money to go workout on your own, like some others in the area. We are here to teach you how to be healthy and fit and how to get the results you’re looking for. Our fitness and athletic training requires practice. It’s not easy. Our members are required to use their minds as much as their muscle.

Instructor Led Training vs. Exercising on Your Own

EVERY CROSSFIT 580 GROUP WOD CLASS IS LED BY AN INSTRUCTOR/COACH. We dont just start a clock for you and then walk away while you workout on your own. We teach you how to move your body with proper mechanics, stability, balance, and agility. Our workouts require you to be mentally alert and focused, and will call upon your coordination, agility, strength, speed, endurance, stamina and flexibility. Our members are always under the watchful eye of a coach who ensures full range of motion and orthopedic safety in all movements.

 Community vs. Individual

You train as a small group, working towards a common goal. Members support and push each other to achieve things you never thought possible. You share in not only each other’s struggles but also each other’s triumphs. This is at the heart of what makes CrossFit tick and what helps our members succeed in meeting their goals.

 Performance vs. Aesthetic

The focus of our classes is on improving your athletic skills and performance. Toning and leaning out is a welcome by-product of working to develop your strength, power, speed, endurance, and stamina. Train like an athlete to look like an athlete.

 Athletic Skills vs. Fitness

We teach athletic skills that require hard work and lots of practice, where mastery is measured in years, not weeks. This requires our members to be tuned in and fully engaged as they learn new skills, and not mentally checked out in a mind-numbingly boring exercise routine.

CrossFit 580 will help you improve the following 10 physical attributes of fitness:

  • Cardio-respiratory endurance
  • Strength
  • Power
  • Stamina
  • Speed
  • Flexibility
  • Agility
  • Accuracy
  • Balance
  • Coordination

The philosophy of CrossFit 580 is simple: Fitness is a life-long commitment requiring continuous education and consistent devotion to improvement. It is easy to become bored and lazy, and individuals must fight through complacency while discovering new ways to constantly rejuvenate their pursuits in health and fitness. CrossFit 580 ignites this rediscovery for individuals by offering the opportunity to join not only a gym, but a community of fitness excellence. CrossFit 580 believes that one of the greatest benefits of fitness is the opportunity to build relationships and network. As a result, we look to embrace a communal approach to fitness characterized by reciprocal relationships amongst members, staff, health professionals, and the greater fitness community.

CrossFit 580 encourage's the competitive nature of the greater CrossFit community by recognizing that “CrossFitting” is, quite simply, a sport—the “sport of fitness.” The harnessing of natural camaraderie, competition, and fun of sport or game, yields an intensity that cannot be matched by other means. At CrossFit 580, we not only target the inactive and sedentary, but also the very active who have reached a plateau and are in need of drastic change. We build strong, confident, and courageous CrossFitter's by sparking a rebirth and redevelopment of their understanding of fitness. All of this is accomplished through expertise, patience, and just plain fun; creating a place where members truly feel they belong, are cared for, and where their absence would not only be noticed, but missed as well.
